JELLY BEANS ARE BACK!

In 1991, Dulux created one of Australia’s most loved promotions ever. Simply buy an 8L can of Dulux paint, and get a free can of jelly beans. After a five year hiatus, we brought it back! And to celebrate, we created Australia’s biggest ever jelly bean guessing game.

We created a gigantic virtual 3D Dulux paint can filled to the brim with thousands of jelly beans. Anyone in the country could explore the 3D can and enter a guess via our interactive microsite, all to win one very special prize: a single jelly bean cast in solid gold, worth $10,000.

The campaign was the brand’s most successful launch of a Jelly Beans promotion ever, with widespread coverage on mainstream media, over 13,000 guesses, 140,000 cans of Dulux Jelly Beans redeemed, and one lucky winner who walked away with the coveted golden bean after a very savvy guess of 60,768.

At the heart of the guessing game was a bespoke interactive website where anyone in the country could explore the giant Dulux virtual can in 3D and enter their guess.

The country was prompted to get involved in the campaign and make their guess via a range of assets across film, OOH and social that linked directly to our microsite.
